The sleek bob has been a classic favorite for so many years! Little known fact did you know that the fashion icon Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel first made the bob hair cut famous? “A Woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life” –Coco Chanel. Coco Chanel’s bob hairstyle was distinguished by her thick tousled curls and deep side part. Forever the fashion icon, Chanel’s hairstyle set the scene for hairstyles in the 1920's. As such the bob became the staple look for many women during this era. Over the years the bob hairstyle has taken on many forms. In the 80's you had the messy bang bob look. The 90's had the asymmetrical bob cut. Today we have the long bob referred to as the “lob” or the sleek bob with the part down the middle. Either way this classic hairstyle is not going anywhere.
